Departure to the northwest of Georgia to visit Mount Bagineti which  is to the opposite  of Mtskheta on the right bank of the river Mtkvari. It towers over the river in the form of large rocks. On its north - eastern slope stands quite wide and long terrace where archaeological excavations revealed the ancient citadel of the capital of the kingdom of Kartli Mtskheta. It was the residence of the kings of ancient Georgian pagan sanctuary and location - deities Armazi.

The word "Armastsikhe" is formed ffrom two parts: the "Arma" - Hittite name of the lunar deity, announced the first king of Kartli Parnavaz (end of IV beginning of III century BC), the supreme deity of the kingdom and "Tsikhe" (in Georgian - fortress);

Mtskheta - which during millennium was the main cathedral of the whole Georgia. One of the pillars of the temple was a cedar, showing places burial garment of Jesus Christ. Where there is also a lot of shrines;

Samtavro - around this convent there is "blackberry" (Makvlovani) bush, where St. Nino was preaching Christianity, whose light illuminated the whole of Georgia,  in 324, Christianity was the state religion during the holy king Mirian and Nana.
near the temple Samtavro there are many shrines, some life-giving pillar, the miraculous icon of Our Lady of Iver.

Shio Mgvime - an ancient monastery 9 kilometers from the town of Mtskheta. Height above sea level - about 750 meters. Founded around 560 years after the saint Shio, one of the fathers of the Assyrian known as Shio Mgvimeli. More than three years was under the patronage of princes and Amilakhvari was their family tomb.
