Religious tour in West Georgia for 3 Days
route: Tbilisi - Kutaisi - Noqalaqevi - Zugdidi - Mtskheta - Tbilisi
1 Day: route:Tbilisi-Gelati-Motsameta-Kutaisi (225 km)
In the morning departure to the regional centre of Imereti - Kutaisi. On the way you will have opportunity to see and buy Georgian ceramic at Shrosha ceramic fair; also you will taste Nazuki – National Georgian sweet bread;
around Kutaisi we will see Bagrati church named Virgin Mariam (10th century), where are kept the skull of St. Toma mediator and Christ's nail.
Lunch;
Then we will visit Gelati monastery complex (12th century), where we can see the main church named Virgin, St. Giorgi and St. Nikoloz; churches.
The monastery is surrounded by the fence and at the south gate of which is buried St. king David the Builder-(12th century);
at the end of the day We will see Motsameta church (8th century), where is buried the relics of St. David and St.Konstantine.

2 Day: route:Kutaisi-Nokalakevi-Zugdidi (135 km)

Departure to the regional of Samegrelo and city Senaki - then visit church of Savior and plane tree which is 800 years old.
Drive to Noqalaqevi - The complex with no analogues in the Caucasus- Late Antique/Early Medieval citadel, remains of palaces of the Kings of Egrisi, (IV-VI cc), royal and public bathhouses, potable water reservoirs (IV-VI cc), a secret tunnel under the river, ruins of several churches dated back by IV-VI cc., the domed church of the 40 Saint Martyrs adorned with XVI-XVIII cc wall painting. The local museum offers an exhibition covering vast period of time from XIII-XII cc BC till XVIII c. AD with many unique findings.
Tsikhegoji at the Noqalaqevi territory Archeopolis –capital of the Kingdome of Egrisi in IV-VIII cc, one of the most important frontier strongholds in the war lead by the Byzantines against Persians throughout the VI c AD. This castle fortified with triple defensive masonry walls was captured by the famous Arab military leader Mervan ibn Muhammad (Murvan the Deaf by Georgian tradition) in the 30-ies of VIII c. In XVI-XVIII cc Nokalakevi is one of the residences of the house of Dadiani, sovereigns of the Principality of Samegrelo.

Then you will be able to see Nunnery near Senaki which is located in low mountains, there you will rest feeling fresh ear and then you will drive to
Zugdidi - is a city in the Western Georgian historical province of Samegrelo (Mingrelia).

3 Day: route:Zugdidi-Khobi-Tbilisi (50 km)

We will see historic ethnographic museum, which located in Dadian's palace (19th century). In the museum are kept the exhibits of world importance and religious things, among them is the mantle of St. Mariam. Here we will see the church named Vlaqerni Virgin Mariam (19th century). Drive back to Tbilisi and on the way visit Nuns’ Convent in Khobi (with the oldest fresco of St. Nino)
